Imagekind Announces First-Ever 'Online' Art Walk

Exclusive Washington State Event to Feature Emerging and Established Washington Artists

SEATTLE, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Imagekind, the fastest growing online art site, and community for consumers and artists to buy and sell professional, museum-quality framed digital art, today announced that it is sponsoring Washington State's first-ever "Online" Art Walk. The event, taking place Tuesday June 26th through Sunday August 18th, 2007 at http://www.imagekind.com/artwalk, will feature over 100 emerging and established artists from across Washington State. In conjunction with the Online Art Walk, Imagekind is sponsoring "Art Inspires," a nonprofit art makeover contest. All Western Washington nonprofits located throughout King, Pierce and Snohomish counties are eligible to apply for the art makeover between June 14th and July 13th at http://www.imagekind.com/charity. Imagekind will donate digitally printed, museum-quality framed works of art from Washington State artists being showcased in the Online Art Walk event. The reveal on August 9th will feature before and after images of the makeover. In addition, Accredited Staging Professional Kari Takacs, owner of Curtain Call, will work with the winning nonprofit to select and professionally stage the artwork.

"One of the biggest challenges artists face is finding avenues to showcase their work, and with consumers the challenge is finding art they like at an affordable price," stated Kevin Saliba, Imagekind's President. "Our motivation for creating the Online Art Walk is two fold: First, to create an easy-to-visit forum for consumers to browse thousands of pieces of art, many from Washington's best artists, and second, to enable every consumer to brighten their home with beautiful, high-quality and affordable artwork by leveraging digital technology and high quality printing."

Unlike traditional online poster art sites, Imagekind is building a true online art community by uniting consumers with both emerging and established artists, and the largest combination of printing and framing choices available at affordable prices.
